I originally trained in industry as a management accountant and subsequently as a financial manager. I started training accountants in 1990. I teach management and cost accounting and financial management predominantly
but have been known to teach strategy and financial accounting.
As any past student will know, much as I love my subject, my single objective is to give students the best opportunity of passing. What I particularly enjoy is the challenge of achieving the best pass rates for my students that I possibly can on subjects that many students find challenging. I do this by mixing tried and tested teaching techniques and learning strategies with a lively and personal teaching style.
My motivations to join The Accountancy College were to offer the best standard of tuition to students that I can. I can use my own notes that I know will work for you, rather than using standardised notes written by a non-tutor that won’t.
I can also give more of my time to assisting students and finally I can work with a team of likeminded tutors for whom I have considerable professional respect and whom I know are working towards similar aims.
